December 19, 2017: The Northbrook Park District will begin three major capital projects in 2018 that officials hope to complete by 2022. Among the projects will be a new activity center at Techny Prairie Park and Fields. October 19, 2017: Earlier this month NSSRA staff spent a morning at Glenbrook South High School facilitating a disability awareness workshop for the school’s incoming group of peer mentors. October 19, 2017: Candice Cunningham, 37, has worked for the Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association for 15 years. She was hired by the agency, which serves multiple towns including Glenview and Northbrook, in 2002 as a recreation specialist, and she was promoted to superintendent in 2009. Continue…
October 9, 2017: Over $59,000 was raised at NSSRA Foundation’s annual SWING Golf Outing, held at Deerfield Golf Club on Friday, September 22. These funds will provide scholarships for children, teens and adults with disabilities who participate in NSSRA’s year-round recreation activities and will additionally provide a significant contribution to the NSSRA Foundation Transportation Fund.
