Athletics and Fitness
NSSRA’s athletic and fitness programs allow our participants to enjoy activities, including swimming, bowling, basketball, and horseback riding, to name a few. NSSRA staff designed our fitness programs to create a welcoming environment where participants can gain self-confidence and feel comfortable developing aptitudes in fitness programs while familiarizing themselves with health and wellness concepts. Most importantly, our programs foster peer interaction and encourage proper social behavior beyond sports skills.
NSSRA offers year-round seasonal competitive sports programs through our Gator Athletic program. These sports include Basketball, Golf, Swimming, Volleyball, Bocce, Powerlifting, Tennis, Bowling, Softball, and Track & Field.
A few things you should know:
- Prior experience in the sport or fitness activity is not required nor expected.
- NSSRA’s fitness programs are non-competitive.
