Bright Star Theatre Company’s, Alice in Wonderland, Captivates Audiences at Northbrook Theatre
On April 15th and 16th, Bright Star Theatre presented “Alice in Wonderland” at the Leisure Center in Northbrook. Produced by NSSRA in cooperation with Northbrook Park District, the show followed the adventures of Alice, a curious young girl who falls down a rabbit hole and discovers a world where nothing is quite as it seems.
The talented cast, including Lisa Krupinski as Alice and David Hillel as the Cheshire Cat, brought Lewis Carroll’s beloved characters to life, while director Juan Sedonio ensured a magical and quirky experience for audiences of all ages. Sedonio, a recent graduate from Northern Illinois University with a BFA in Acting, was thrilled to direct his first show for Bright Star Theatre and work with such talented artists and companions. The show also featured Callan Cox as the Caterpillar, Jack Rosen as the Dormouse, Karen Roscher as the Mad Hatter, Maggie Johnson as the Queen of Hearts, and Antonio Esch as both Lewis Carrol and the White Rabbit. Companions Naomi Golden, Bridgit Hill, and Bella Ritter-Robson provided additional storytelling support for the performance.
Over the years, the Bright Star Theatre Company program has allowed participants of all ages to engage in theater games, movement exercises, and musical training, working alongside the Northbrook Park District Theatre staff to create a truly professional production. This year’s performance of “Alice in Wonderland” was no exception, showcasing the immense talent and growth of the artists and companions involved.
