Recreational Therapy Month Staff Spotlight – Becca Luecke

February is National Recreational Therapy month! Join us to celebrate all month long and learn more about our incredible staff.

Today we meet Becca Luecke, a Recreation Manager. Becca’s first experience with special recreation associations started when she was just 12 years old as a volunteer and part-time work. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in therapeutic recreation then began her career with NSSRA. Becca enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, being outside, gardening, crafting and traveling in her free time.

Becca’s favorite memories at NSSRA come from a participant’s first overnight trip. Although the participant was fearful and hesitant, Becca’s preparation made the trip a success! The participant enjoyed new experiences with their peers, including bunches of fun and laughter. The participant had the chance to grow their independence from the family, which allowed for more opportunities in the future.

We want to thank Becca for her 12 years of dedication to providing new opportunities and experiences for children and adults alike, focusing on growing, learning, and enhancing each person’s quality of life.
