NSSRA’s “Summer Bash” Creates Unforgettable Memories for All Attendees

The echoes of laughter, the rhythm of music, and the camaraderie of the Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA) community were at their peak during the recent “Summer Bash” held on Wednesday, August 9th. The end-of-summer extravaganza drew over 300 people and concluded successfully, leaving attendees with special memories and excitement for the upcoming fall season.

The “Summer Bash” event organized by NSSRA was an exceptional celebration that united participants, families, and friends for an unforgettable evening of entertainment. Held at the Park Center in Glenview, IL, the event featured an enchanting atmosphere of laughter and camaraderie.

Guests enjoyed dinner, games, and the musical talents of “The Boy Band Night,” who had participants dancing the night away. The volunteer involvement of a handful of Northwestern University Basketball Players added an exciting touch to the festivities. “Seeing the smiles and laughter of our participants coming together in celebration was heartwarming,” said Erin White, Recreation Manager at NSSRA. “The Summer Bash encapsulated what NSSRA stands for—building connections, fostering friendships, and creating inclusive experiences.”
