Gator Snowshoeing

This special event is for Gator athletes only. Are you interested in trying out a new winter sport? Then come join us for the Gator Snowshoeing Special Event! Snowshoe could be considered the winter equivalent of track with many of the same sports skills being used. We will learn about the equipment used in this sport and get to practice snowshoeing outside. Athletes will practice either on snow or grass depending on weather conditions. This event will be outside, make sure you dress appropriately for the cold weather and for some exercise!
GOALS: Enhance strength and endurance through snowshoeing. Develop an understanding of the sport. Develop a sense of self-confidence.
