Joint Summer Program
NSSRA and the Northern Suburban Special Education District (NSSED) work together
to provide a six-week summer program, offering SUMMER SCHOOL in the morning
and RECREATION in the afternoon to youths ages 3 to 21. Students are eligible
for the program if they receive special education services and an extended-year
education program has been recommended by the school team as part of the Individualized
Education Plan (IEP) during the preceding school year. Sites are available for
Early Childhood, Elementary/Junior High, and High School. For further information,
